Kevin Costner steps up to the plate and hits a home run. Definitely worth of being called a class act. After he walked away unharmed last week when a stage fell down he was intended to perform on, the actor/rocker let it be known that if he could help out any of the victims, he would. A 35-year old concertgoer, Donna Moore, who also was employed to work audio for Costner’s gig tragically died when a speaker slid on her in the collapse. Costner has made a decision to auction off a dinner with himself to raise money which will go to Donna’s kids. Costner helped victims that contained one of his band members right after the situation occurred.
He was raring to continue that help for the future saying, “We hope to come back to Alberta in the future to help with the healing.” Its good to see when faced with crisis, there are stars that are keen to help. Costner stuck to his words and though sad, his assistance will perhaps give the well required healing those families merit. Thousands were available to enjoy the Big Valley Jamboree, a Canadian music holiday. Thunderstorms were blamed for the breakdown that left more than 75 others wounded.
