millionaireWow, has it been that long.  It’s hard to believe, but it’s been ten years since the classic game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire has hit the air. And is that your last answer? To celebrate the anniversary of the popular culture establishment, Regis Philbin returns to to ABC for a fourteen day prime-time event, hosting a special celebrity charity competition on the show, that may roll out the red carpet for a conga line of celebs playing for their reason for choice. In a stimulating novel development, each night, a different celebrity will answer a single query to win $50,000 for their charity of choice talk about pressure. Guest competitors scheduled to appear include I Kissed A Girl frontman Katy Perry ; The Hills hottie Lauren Conrad ; omnipresent rapper Snoop Dogg ; The Middle’s Patricia Heaton ; Olympic Gold medalist / DWTS champion Shawn Johnson and evergreen All-Star NBA point guard Steve Nash, amongst others.

The Millionaire special debuts August 9th on ABC, and will air for eleven nights from Sunday through Thursdays ; check local lists for times.
